CHRIS CRAWSHAY JONES

Chris Crawshay Jones is ERM's Global Industry Lead for Finance, responsible for shaping and executing the firm's global strategy across the financial sector. He works with leading financial institutions and investors to integrate sustainability and climate considerations into capital allocation, risk management, and long-term strategic planning.

His work with senior leaders across private equity, infrastructure, banking, and asset management spans climate transition strategy, portfolio decarbonisation, sustainable finance structuring, governance design, and the integration of ESG considerations into investment and lending processes.

Chris began his career working directly with clients on ESG and climate strategy across various delivery roles, before moving into senior commercial and sector leadership, building out high-performing teams, and managing some of ERM's most strategic global client relationships; experience that now informs his leadership of the firm's finance sector strategy.

Prior to joining ERM, Chris was a Director within Schneider Electric's Sustainability Business, where he led climate and energy transition programmes for global financial sponsors and corporates. He started his professional career at EY in the Climate Change and Sustainability Services practice, advising multinational organisations on ESG strategy and providing assurance over sustainability governance and reporting frameworks.

Chris holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from University College London and a BA in Geography and Business Studies from the University of Nottingham. He is a regular speaker on sustainability in finance and advocates for the disciplined mobilisation of capital to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, resilient global economy.
